Rhythm Volleyball Academy (RVA) will be offering a 3-session national training program designed specifically for elite level Setters. RVA recommends this program to highly motivated club members who would like an enriched, individualized training tutorial to further their advancement as a setter. This is player centered not a team oriented training. We find the most productive training environment stems from grouping like-minded individuals into a highly structured small group setting, led by proven coaches. RVA welcomes you to grow your competitive performance in this focused training group.
Lauryn Hyman will lead each session designed to address the unique needs of the setter position. The Louisville, KY native relocated to Nashville in 2017 to accept a coaching position at Lipscomb University Volleyball. Lauryn served as an assistant coach at Lipscomb for two years and has coach club volleyball in the area since her arrival. During her Middle Tennessee club coaching tenure, she has qualified 3 teams for USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship.
Before her stint in Nashville, Lauryn was a 4-year player at Bellarmine University. She has coached at various clubs around the Louisville area including KIVA, MAVA, and Union. Lauryn entered the collegiate coaching ranks in 2014 at St. Catharine College in 2014. In 2016, moved to St. Louis became a graduate assistant with Missouri Baptist University where the team made the NAIA National Tournament.
Setters will spend 90 minutes on the court – under the direction of Lauryn Hyman – working on setting specifics (including hand positioning, movement, footwork, defense, tempo-loft-location and other necessities for every successful setter).
Sessions are designed for those who play the position of setter (ages 14-18).
Training sessions will be held at Rhythm Volleyball Competition Center (2139 Logistics Way Murfreesboro TN 37127) following dates and times: 6/2, 6/9 & 6/16 (7:00 – 8:30).
