Rhythm Volleyball Academy (RVA) is pleased to announce our Rhythm Youth Academy: Summer Edition. This 5-week training series is designed for a fun, interactive experience for athletes ages 5 – 11. The youth academy will tailor training experiences for ages and abilities of all athletes led by RVA 11s Coach Jessica Nowlin.

Rhythm separates its Academy into 2 developmental groups, based upon age, size, athleticism and volleyball type abilities “Lil Diggers” is the entry level training group for beginners or those who are just starting to tap into their athletic potential. “Spikers” will be a training group for those athletes who are more developmentally capable, have some background experiences and demonstrate a higher level interest in volleyball. “Spikers” will focus more attention on fundamental movements specific to volleyball along with the introduction and reinforcement of volleyball fundamentals.

This after-school program focuses on speed, agility, movement patterns, tracking, hand-eye coordination, and social interaction within athletic and volleyball situations. We will work with participants and their families in graduating our “Lil Diggers” into “Spiker” sessions along with offering opportunities for Spikers to explore more structured and competitive training.  Spikers and Diggers will train at the same time led by Coach Jess.

The Youth Academy will establish a baseline of learning to enter into the RVA Skill Acquisition curriculum. It is also designed to progressively grow competitive volleyball players from ages 5 – 11.
